Insurance
Like most specialty providers, I am a private pay only therapist. This decision has come with much consideration. Simply put, I do not partner with insurance companies because I do not want anyone else to dictate the way we work together.
Although I don’t accept insurance directly, I am insurance-friendly! Your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits to help fund your therapy journey, which means that they will reimburse you for a portion of the session cost.
You can use Thrizer to verify your out-of-network benefits and automatically submit superbills. They will manage the reimbursement process for you to save you the insurance headache. Once you meet your deductible, you receive reimbursements in a few weeks via direct deposit. You can create an account and get started at www.thrizer.com.
If you prefer not to use Thrizer, I am happy to provide you with a monthly superbill, so you can coordinate with your insurance company directly.
Therapy is an investment…
of money, time, and trust.
I invite you to invest and commit to your healing just as hard as I invest and commit to you. I reserve an appointment time just for you. I give you my full attention and my expertise for every minute you show up, and beyond. When you become a client in my practice, you become a person in my life whose psyche is under my care and responsibility. I limit how many clients I work with in a week because I am committed to providing excellent care, preventing my own burnout, and ensuring that I can remain a therapist for the long haul.
I understand that your difficulties call for someone to help you face the unfaceable. Clients who work with me do this and go on to achieve levels of peace, confidence, and the ability to re-engage with people and life – things that they thought would take decades to attain. I am able to do this because I am direct and challenging when needed, I am slow and gentle when needed, and I can discern the difference. I do not get distracted. I do not let clients’ trauma, dysfunction, or stuckness run the hour.
Being a therapist is my soul’s calling. And I know what it means for therapy to cost you, because it has also cost me in many ways to listen to my inner depths, to be open to receiving healing, and to preserve my wellbeing for the sake of doing this work. I know that your growth rests upon my wellness and my previous and present inner work. You will be in good hands with me.
There is a sea of difference in clinical acumen and personal wellness among psychotherapists. Great therapists are worth every penny and more. I want to help you unearth everything that gets in the way of you being the person you’re meant to be.
FAQs
-
I offer therapy services online to residents throughout Pennsylvania.
I host my sessions through a HIPAA and PIPEDA secure online location.
-
Before scheduling a therapy session, I do a free 20-minute intro call with all potential new clients. This gives us the chance to get to know each other. Here’s what you can expect:
I’ll ask you about why you’re seeking therapy
I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist
You can ask me any questions that I didn’t cover
We’ll talk about rates, insurance, availability, etc.
-
If we both decide we're a good fit after our intro call, we'll schedule our first therapy appointment. I'll send you a couple of quick forms to complete before our first session. I'll also send you a link for our video calls that you can use every week.

As a therapist, I have a very intuitive and co-creative approach to pacing the work. My style tends to be very slow, spacious, and welcoming of the quiet… but that doesn’t mean my attention isn’t also sharp and focused!
And you will get to experience that from the very beginning. In your first session, I drop many of the traditional questions that therapists ask at first, because I believe you have ample time beyond the initial session to tell your stories and get into your history.
My goals in session one are to focus on the present & the future:
Set the therapeutic tone: mindful, attentive, and grounded
Learn about the issue that is calling you into therapy
Understand the various areas and relationships of your life where this issue is causing disruption
Get your ideas about what you think is causing the problem
Be curious about what you have done with this problem in the past
Orient toward your goals and to flesh out the approach you want to take toward this problem now
-
In my practice, I offer extended sessions for my clients because healing from complex trauma, chronic anxiety, or persistent dysfunctional patterns often asks both client and therapist to go beyond the traditional hour.
-
I typically meet with clients on a weekly basis.
I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions to best meet your needs.
For example, I commonly work with clients on a twice a week or every other week basis. I also work with clients as needed on an intensive basis.
